The Leg Man and the Can Man

He's a Leg Man.
Found on the Internet and submitted by Clay. The woman is apparently a mannaquin or a wax dummy.

I don't know who he is or what he's holding. But it doesn't look good for the Can Man.
Found it on the Internet.

Awkward Parties

found on the Internet. I am guessing that it came from Postsecret.

I wonder if someone just said something awkward about that frightning pineapple upside down cake.

Dead Aim and He Man

An Easy Shot
from Found Magazine

and

Stretchy Pants
also from Found Magazine.

Thankyou to MO for those.

I lurked at Found for a long time. Sometimes I need to boycott the comments for a while but like any addiction I always end up back there. I never have commented very much, but once in a while I have commented as Ben or Ben Jammin. And lately as Awkward Kid. But I mostly just like to watch from the stands. It's entertaining and educational.

Mortifying!

Someone mentioned
Get Mortified.

I went to the site, and it took a bit, but I located some fun pictures that people have submitted to that site. this should be a direct link to those pictures. The Mortified people also have some ties to Found. They've shared a stage show in the past.

Poke around at the site. It's pretty funny. Thpse people who send in their own bad pictures are a lot braver than I am.

A Man From Normal

Learning something new every day. I hadn't ever heard of Ralph Eugene Meatyard before today. Creepy, fascinating. Like a car crash, you just can't look away. I'm not going to put a bunch of his pictures here, but here is a LINK You can follow to see a bunch of his work.

I'll say it again. Some really amazing people hang on the sidelines and lurk in the shadows at Found. There are so many things I've seen that I never would have without those people leaving links and stuff. Should I put today's find in here? Monkee Astronaut? I don't know. What do you think?

Happy 40's

Chirstmas, Christmas Time is Here.

these ones came from The South Florida Sun Sentinel. There are many to choose from. Some of the Santas are so scary, I was practically crying just looking at the pictures.

from Found Magazine, 1-6-02.
Priceless. Scary. Wow.

To you who asked how to send in your own pictures, you can leave a URL in a comment for me, and I'll C&P it into a post. I'm new to Blogger, and at this time, that's the only way I can figure to do it.

About this Blog: Awkward Kids, Posing Weirdly, Holding Things That are Slightly Unsettling

This blog is Dedicated to Found Magazine and Found Fans everywhere. Inspired by the Finds and comments of 11-25 to 11-27-07.
The smartest, funniest and most inspiring people on the Web hang out at Found. I am amazed, amused, and awed daily. Thank you, Found, and Thank you, Found Fans.
I hope that you will be inspired to search your photo archives, scour the web, and send in your favorite pictures of awkward kids, posing weirdly, holding things that are slightly unsettling(c).
The title credit goes to SaraSara, Clover, and Mona Lisa. If any of you object, notify and I will gladly pick another.

I hope that anyone viewing this blog will be inspired to participate by sharing any odd pictures you may have, or may have seen. I also hope that if you have not checked out Found Magazine before, you will do so immediately. It's Great.

I have not used blogger before, and just discovered the Hard Way that image tags are not allowed in comments here. That sucks because it means that you can't just leave picture submissions in comments. Here's what we can do. You can leave the URL in a comment, and I can cut and paste it into a blog entry. Or you can send me a message with your email addy and I can add you as a writer, so you can add your own pictures thoughts and observations.

I would also like to say that I'm not completely rigid on the photo criteria. If you have a picture of an awkward senior citizen, send it along. Or an awkward kid, posing strangely, holding something completely innocuous. It's all just for fun.

Begin.
